If Pat Archbold and Lakshmi Chaudhry were to have dinner
together, most of their evening would consist of arguments and disagreements.
For them to get along 100% would be rare and difficult because their views are
drastically different from each other’s. Archbold talks about how young women
desire the label "hot" rather than "pretty" in today's
society and that they are the ones to blame for why men act the way they do.
Chaudhry, on the other hand, seemed more educated on her topic about how men
don't like the idea of change that has to do with women and responsibilities
and she used a good amount of sources. During their dinner, Archbold would be
the close-minded person here because of the tone used in the article. He thinks
that the only way to solve how men act around women is if women start to be “pretty”
again, which is outrageous and he also didn't have a lot of information to back
him up, unlike Chaudhry. However, both of them need to understand and respect
the fact that society and ideas change constantly throughout the years. Overall, this
dinner would be interesting for the both of them and they might learn a couple of things from each other but in the end they will still stick to their views.
